Challenge
In the reprocessing of gas cylinders, a gripper needed to exert friction-locking on various gas cylinders. Another challenge was that only a hydraulic system was available as a drive medium in the system and the gripping force with the available standard grippers was not sufficient.
Solution
A modified system solution was developed based on the rugged GH76100 standard gripper. To reach the necessary gripping force, the gripper was modified with a hydraulic drive, thus reaching a gripping force of 17,000 N at 80 bar of hydraulic pressure.
