After nearly 38 years of dedicated service, Zimmer GmbH Kunststofftechnik bids farewell to one of its most loyal and experienced employees as he enters retirement: Lothar Ernst.

On September 11, Josef Schneider, head of service, officially entered into a well-deserved retirement. During a ceremony, his colleagues and managers thanked him for his outstanding commitment and his great contribution to the company's success.

Just in time for the new training year, Zimmer Group welcomed a total of 20 new apprentices and 6 dual students who are starting their careers at the company.

The Zimmer Group is pleased to announce the opening of its new production facility at its headquarters in Rheinau. The modern new building, which will be inaugurated at the beginning of July, will expand the Zimmer Group's capacity by an additional 5,000 square meters and provide the newly founded subsidiary Zimmer Systems GmbH with ideal conditions for further growth.

Last Saturday, July 6, the annual summer party of the Zimmer Group took place and once again became an unforgettable experience for all those involved. The event began at 5:00 p.m. with the admission and ended late at night around 3:00 a.m.

Zimmer Group is celebrating the opening of its new production site in Jintan in the Sino-German (Changzhou) Innovation Industry Park (SGIP). The new building marks an important milestone in the company's international expansion strategy and underlines the Zimmer Group's commitment to the Chinese market.

Last Wednesday, the Zimmer Group bid farewell to Elisabeth Raab in a festive ceremony at the Ottersweier site as she took her well-deserved retirement.

The official retirement of Martin Maier took place on May 16, 2024. The retirement ceremony was attended by Martin Maier himself, company founders Günther and Martin Zimmer and Managing Directors Jonas Zimmer, Michael Basler and Achim Gauss.

On Saturday, April 27, Industry 4.0 became a tangible reality for interested young people. Under the motto #FutureZimmer, the Zimmer Group opened its doors to prospective trainees and students for its big trainee event.

On November 10, the Zimmer Group in Rheinau opened its doors for the annual Trainee Family Day. A total of 35 visitors took part in this special day.

Climbing, romping, playing - the children at Freistett elementary school have recently been able to enjoy a large climbing frame in the school playground. The purchase was made possible by a donation from Günther Zimmer.

The new training year began on September 1 and the Zimmer Group is pleased to welcome 25 motivated trainees and 2 dedicated female students to the company. On Saturday 22 July 2023, the Zimmer Group held its annual summer party and it was a great success! All employees with their partners and families as well as retired employees were cordially invited and around 1,300 visitors came together to celebrate.

After 20 years and 6 months of service with the Zimmer Group, Bernd Wiedemer was given a ceremonial retirement today.

Once again this year, an extraordinary anniversary celebration was held to honor 106 colleagues who have been with the company for between 10 and 40 years. Together, they have been with the company for an incredible 1,680 years.

With great recognition and gratitude, the Zimmer Group bids farewell to two long-serving employees in their well-deserved retirement. In a festive setting and in the company of management, superiors, HR department and works council, the long service and commitment of the colleagues were honored.

Zimmer Group is thrilled to announce a further milestone in the international growth of it’s company with the opening of Zimmer Automation Pvt. Ltd. in Pune, India!

On March 10, 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony of Zimmer Group China Ltd. factory was held in Jintan, Changzhou. The groundbreaking ceremony markes the foundation and official start of the Zimmer Group's next major milestone - the construction of the Zimmer Group China Ltd. factory, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Zimmer Group.

On 13 March, the Zimmer Group officially honoured its apprentices. In this context, the automation specialist and family business honoured the outstanding achievements of the trainees.

After almost 19 years of service, long-time employee Bernd Winterer left Zimmer GmbH on December 31, 2022, and went into his well-deserved retirement.

Gerhard Müller, a true veteran, left Zimmer GmbH this year. With more than 35 years of service, Mr. Müller was one of the first employees of the former Zimmer GmbH Technische Werkstätten.

With Harald Schröder, another long-time employee of Zimmer GmbH Daempfungssysteme went into well-deserved retirement on August 31, 2022.

In June and July, a total of eight long-serving Zimmer Group employees were given a well-deserved retirement. In the circle of superiors, management, personnel department and the works council, the past years were looked back on.

After more than 20 years of successful and close cooperation, our sales partner ZVS Techniek B.V. and Zimmer Group are taking the next step together: ZVS Techniek B.V. will be integrated and continued as a subsidiary of Zimmer Group under the new name "Zimmer Group Benelux B.V." as of 01.05.2022.

Despite the recent difficulties globally, the Zimmer Group, which employs over 1,260 people at 13 locations worldwide, has been able to maintain its expansion course, which has been ongoing for years.

For many years, there has been a very close connection between the vocational schools in Achern and the two large training companies Fischer Group and Zimmer Group.

Traditionally, the annual employee awards are one of the main components of the big Christmas parties of Zimmer GmbH, Zimmer GmbH Daempfungssysteme and Zimmer GmbH Kunststofftechnik. Last year, however, these could not take place due to the Corona pandemic and were therefore to be made up for the following year.

When Martin Weber and Bilal Erdil started working at the then WÖKU GmbH (now Zimmer Group) in the 1980s, their current employer - Zimmer GmbH Kunststofftechnik (subsidiary of Zimmer Group) - was far from being established.

As of August 2021, Zimmer Group will be represented by its own branch office in Querétaro, Mexico, thus remaining on course for further growth. In addition to its headquarters in Rheinau, Germany, the company now has 13 of its own locations worldwide.

All efforts paid off and the Zimmer Group successfully cleared the bureaucratic hurdles so that last Wednesday, 07.07.21, the first 48 employees at the Rheinau site could receive their Corona vaccination.

The Zimmer Group foresaw the upheaval in automation and mechanical engineering about a decade ago and recognised the enormous potential of digitalisation. Marcel Pfeiffer, Head of Design & Brand at the Zimmer Group, talks in an interview about current questions on the topic of "Digital Change -Digital Success".

As a regionally based company, the Zimmer Group has a special responsibility for envi-ronmental protection in the region. Due to rising wages and salaries, parts of the production of the tire, footwear, toy and textile industries have already migrated to low-wage countries. An EU project launched last October is now trying to counteract this development.

For the 6th time, the german magazine "handling" presented the handling award for outstanding innovations on 8th of October 2019 as part of the trade show Motek in Stuttgart.

As a leading trade fair for automation solutions in production and assembly, feed technology and material flow, streamlining through handling technology and joining technology, AHTE/AMTS is the only exhibition in Asia covering the entire industry chain of machinery engineering and automatic production.

VDMA India organised the first international symposium on “Industry 4.0 – the future Concept of Manufacturing” on 6th June at Shangri-La hotel in Bangalore and on 8th June 2018 at Hyatt, Pune respectively.
