Start of the new education year

25 new trainees and 2 students start their careers at Zimmer Group

The new training year began on September 1 and the Zimmer Group is pleased to welcome 25 motivated trainees and 2 dedicated female students to the company. Sixteen industrial mechanics, five mechatronics technicians, two warehouse logistics specialists, one industrial clerk and one technical product designer as well as two students of the dual courses of studies in business administration and industrial engineering started their professional life.

The start of the new phase of their lives was celebrated with a joint introductory event. The welcome by the works council and the youth and trainee representatives as well as the Next Generation, represented by Rafaela Zimmer, was a successful start to the day and the coming training years.

In a round of introductions, everyone first had the opportunity to get to know each other in peace. The trainers also introduced themselves and gave insights into their tasks and responsibilities. After that, the occupational safety course was on the agenda. Here, the new trainees were informed about the most important safety rules in the company.

In the afternoon, they went on a company rally with a quiz through the locations "Am Glockenloch" and "Im Salmenkopf". Questions could be asked in various departments and valuable insights gained into the different areas of the company. The final evaluation of the rally with a small award ceremony successfully rounded off the first day.

The Zimmer Group is looking forward to a successful training period together and a good cooperation in the years to come. In doing so, the family-run company will continue to focus on varied training, not least through a wide range of apprenticeships and a trained team of instructors.
