New training year has started
26 talented individuals are starting their careers at Zimmer Group
Just in time for the new training year, Zimmer Group welcomed a total of 20 new apprentices and 6 dual students who are starting their careers at the company. The family-owned company is thus once again strengthening its position as an attractive training company in the region and underlining its commitment to promoting young talent.
Wide range of training for the specialists of tomorrow
This year, the apprentices are starting in a variety of occupations, both in the technical and commercial areas. The apprenticeships include: warehouse logistics specialist, IT specialist, industrial clerk, industrial mechanic, mechatronics engineer, and technical product designer. The diversity of the apprenticeships reflects the innovative strength and high technological standards of the company.
In addition, six students have found their way to Zimmer Group. These are the dual study programs in business administration, industrial engineering, mechatronics, information technology, and the StudiumPLUS in mechanical engineering, as well as a German-French mechatronics program.
The first day: introductory event and company rally
The introductory event began with a warm welcome from Managing Director Jonas Zimmer, the works council and the youth and apprentice representatives. The new apprentices and trainers then introduced themselves and shared their first impressions. After a short break, a work safety course was held to teach the new colleagues important basics for a safe working day.
In the afternoon, an exciting company rally was on the program, during which the locations Am Glockenloch and Im Salmenkopf in Rheinau were explored. The new trainees and students not only gained insights into the various departments, but also had the opportunity to ask questions and get actively involved in the company. The event concluded with an awards ceremony in which the most successful teams of the rally were honored.
Investment in the future
Zimmer Group places a high value on sound, comprehensive, and practical training and sees the advancement of young people as a central task for long-term success and for helping to shape technological progress. The high proportion of apprentices in training and close cooperation with universities and educational institutions demonstrate the company's commitment to the future. Today's apprentices and students are tomorrow's skilled employees. With the start of training on September 2, Zimmer Group is once again sending a strong signal about the importance of training and qualification in the company.
