Gripper for sand cores
Challenge
For unloading a core shooter, up to four sand cores needed to be removed from the machine at once. These cores then needed to be turned in the gripper by 90° and glued to each other.
Solution
A special quadruple gripper was used with integrated swivel units with pitch adjustment for turning and joining the cores. Because of the adverse ambient conditions in the core shop, the gripper required additional special sealing and protection.
